About Dr. Rempfer

Dr. Rempfer is a psychiatrist with experience in three medical subspecialties. They include pediatrics as well as child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. Currently he holds dual board certifications in both Child and Adolescent Psychiatry as well as in General Adult Psychiatry. Presently, he is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both fields.Dr. Rempfer treats clients from the ages of early childhood through adulthood (up to the age of 55 years), with a preference in treating kids with autism, tourettes, and eating disorders. He joins the staff of Uptown Psychiatry, most recently hailing from the sunny state of Florida.

He graduated from the University of South Florida (cum laude) with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and he then worked as a medical technologist. Subsequently, he then attended medical school at the University of South Florida first completing a pediatric residency (where he was intern of the year) at the John’s Hopkins/ All Children’s residency program in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

After working for seven years in private practice as a pediatrician, Dr. Rempfer then returned to USF for an additional residency in general adult psychiatry followed by a psychiatry fellowship in child psychiatry; where he was the chief resident.

Dr. Rempfer has worked in several different types of outpatient and inpatient psychiatry, first as an associate professor at the Rothman Institute for Neuropsychiatry. There he worked as a clinically focused child psychiatrist, however he also helped with several clinical research headed by Dr. Tanya Murphy. Dr. Murphy has written national prrthermore, he has past psychiatric experience in community mental health. Most recently he worked with a hospital-based outpatient clinic at Baycare Behavioral Health in Clearwater, Florida.

Furthermore, he has past psychiatric experience in community mental health. Most recently he worked with a hospital-based outpatient clinic at Baycare Behavioral Health in Clearwater, Florida.

Although his primary focus is treating all facets of child and adolescent psychiatry  specializing in Autism, OCD, Tourette's Syndrome, Separation Anxiety, he also treats adults up to the age of 55 years and he has extra expertise in adult mood and anxiety disorders.  

Office hours are 11am to 7pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are 8am to 5pm.
